:::Christian growth does not happen by wrkn hard 2 get something U don’t have. Rather, Christian growth happens by wrkn hard 2 live in the reality of wht U do have. U could put it ths way: rediscovering the gospel everyday is the hard work we’re called 2.
The best indication that we have truly worshipped is a changed heart……..
"If I had six hours to cut down a tree… I would spend four sharpening the axe."
It’s so easy in life to just GO, and GO, and GO… SPRINTING from task to task… SWALLOWED by the demands of life… Too many things are asking for our attention and can seem URGENT… Being people who are DRIVEN by VISION and PURPOSE…I think it is vital that in the middle of pursuing our God-given dreams…we take the time to slow down, take a breather, and spend more energy on STAYING SHARP OURSELVES!!
I know for me, I believe God has massive things in my future… the dreams in my heart are so BIG i could never accomplish them on my own. But i INSIST on trusting God to see me through this life… I pray daily, like David in Psalm 31:3, that God would “LEAD ME AND GUIDE ME FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR NAME.”
Everyone knows that “it’s not by might, nor by power, but by HIS spirit…” But we need to be careful of using that verse as a “COP OUT”… Yes, believe like its all up to God… BUT work like its all up to me. Faith in itself is useless if there is no ACTION. and before there is action, there needs to be strategy.
LEARN. GROW. STAY CLASSY.
Two simple ways to stay sharp…
-ENJOY LIFE with healthy, strong friends!
-EDUCATE YOURSELF…read books, listen to great leaders and successful people. What are you learning?? being taught??
BE INNOVATIVE NOT JUST TO BE CREATIVE…
BE INNOVATIVE TO REACH PEOPLE…
Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong. ~Peter T. Mcintyre
What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most
important thing about us.
We have huge heads… but little hands and hearts and feet.
JOHN 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you alsolove one another. 35 "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for oneanother.”
We must address ourselves to duty, and must lay aside every thing that would hinder us in what we have to do.
Before Christ left the disciples, he would give them a new commandment. They were to love each other for Christ’s sake, and according to his example, seeking what might benefit others, and promoting the cause of the gospel, as one body, animated by one soul.
:::CHRISTIANS DONT NEED TO STRIVE TO BE MORE SPIRITUAL… JUST MORE PRACTICAL:::
The gospel tells us we don’t need to spend our lives earning the approval of others because Jesus has already earned God’s approval for us
The gospel reminds us that we become more mature when we focus less on what we need to do for God and more on all God has already done for us.
GOD IS IN FULL CONTROL… HE HAS EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE, EVERY RELATIONSHIP, EVERY DRAMA, EVERY DETAIL IN HIS HAND… GOD’S IN IT ALL…
HE HASN’T LOST TOUCH WITH THE WORLD AND WHATS HAPPENING IN IT… HE’S IN IT ALL.
BE STILL… BE PATIENT… WAIT ON HIM. RELY ON HIS PRESENCE TODAY….
OUR PROBLEMS ARE GOD’S OPPORTUNITIES… REMEMBER WHO’S IN CONTROL.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (New Living Translation)
9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
